You opened your camera, and somehow it became their photoshoot.

Cats don't accidentally end up in selfies, they fully take over like it was always their plan. The second a phone comes out, they're already too close to the camera, somehow finding the best angle without even trying. You were aiming for a normal picture, and now it's a full cat close-up with zero warning.

They always look like they knew the photo was coming. A little head tilt, eyes locked in, maybe a paw sneaking into the frame like it belongs there. Meanwhile, you blink once and somehow ruin your own photo while they look completely purrfect. It's completely unfair.

There's a whole range too. Some go full meowdel mode, staring straight into the camera like it's their new purrofile picture. Others catch themselves mid-yawn or mid-stretch and still manage to look better than they should. Either way, the camera seems to work for them.

Trying again doesn't help. They'll move even closer, like they're checking the shot themselves or making sure they stay in frame. Personal space doesn't exist when there's a camera involved.

The classic tongue-out pose, and this cat really has it down. Just a tiny blep sitting there like it belongs, like they’ve done this before. It’s not over the top, just enough to make the whole photo better. You try to get a normal picture and this is what you end up with instead. It feels unplanned but also exactly right, like this is just how they show up in photos.

Selfies with the besties, cat edition. Both of them squeezed into the frame together, just sitting there side by side like they belong in the shot. One a little more into it, the other just there for the moment, but it works. It actually looks like a real selfie, like they both showed up at the exact right time. Honestly, this is a solid besties pic.

Cats will do anything to get the right angle. Climbing, stretching, getting way too close to the camera, whatever it takes. Suddenly they’re shifting around, adjusting their whole position like it matters. Head tilted, body turned just enough, fully focused on being in the frame. It’s not random either, they end up right where they need to be.
